<p>To perform a hard reset (sometimes called a “factory reset”) on your Motorola Droid, follow these steps. Be warned though, this will clear all data and settings on the device:</p>

<li>Turn the Droid off. If it won’t turn off, remove the battery and reinstall it.</li>
<li>Open the keyboard and press the <strong>X</strong> key while pressing and holding <strong>Power</strong>. The device will power on. Keep holding the buttons down<strong> </strong>until a yellow triangle icon appears.</li>
<li>Press the <strong>Camera</strong> and <strong>Volume Up</strong> buttons at the same time to get to the menu.</li>
<li>Use the direction pad to select <strong>wipe data/factory reset</strong>.</li>
